Shortly after we saw the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 get a 2nd Android Pie update, we are now seeing global S8 and S8+ users get a follow-up update to their devices. This update (via SamMobile & Reddit consumer /u/harburgerz) going to bump up S8 and S8+ beta users software versions to G950FXXU4ZSAC and G955FXXU4ZSAC respectively. We're continue likely to see a 3rd beta update for the S8 and S8+ to fix that problem in the coming days — at least ahead of a full Pie release. We were expecting the update to come to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ after seeing the Note 8 receive the patches and software fixes. Android Pie beta now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note 8
After we announced earlier this month that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could receive a beta program ahead of the official Android Pie rollout, we didn't expect the program to open quite extremely soon. This is alextremely great news for Samsung Galaxy S8 users hoping for a beta program as beta builds have appeared on Samsung's servers for the S8 and S8+. This has come shortly after the One UI full launch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 looks to have slipped back to February. that means if the beta is heading to Note 8 devices at this point, we could see a delay in the full launch of One UI for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 devices slip back too.
