The phone maker has started sending media invites to an event in London on August 16th, just days after a Nokia lumia 8 handset leaked. HMD is preparing to unveil its flagship Nokia-branded android phone next month. The new Nokia 8 is expected to be unveiled on August 16th, and it will mark the first time a Nokia-branded Android device ships with Carl Zeiss optics. The Nokia 8 is rumored to include a dual-camera system with 13-megapixel sensors and Carl Zeiss optics. HMD's launch event will take place in London at 7:30PM local time on August 16th (2:30PM ET / 11:30AM PT).

Sources told them the phone would retail for just under 600 euros, and noted it would likely be available to purchase on July 31st. German site WinFuture referred to the Nokia lumia 8 with a different model number, TA-1004, but otherwise confirmed those details. According to a report on tech website digit.in, Blackberry is going to host an event with its India partner Optiemus Infracom, where it can unveil the BlackBerry KEYone for Indian markets. The Canadian phone maker's latest offering expected to to be launched on August 1, BlackBerry KEYone, is another one of its effort to keep up with the competition. The phone's speciality is its four-row BlackBerry keyboard with touch support. The KEYone packs a 3 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card and a 3505 mAh battery.
