Google Patches 11 Critical RCE Android Vulnerabilities

Remote code-execution (RCE) vulnerabilireleation dominated Google's December Android safety Bulletin. The flaws are part of a total of 53 unique bugs patched by the Android safety team, by a total number of 11 critical bugs – 6 of that are RCE flaws attached to the operating system's Media Framework and System components. Patches apply to Google's Pixel and Nexus devices along by flagship Android phones from Samsung, LG, HTC and others. Four RCE vulnerabilireleation (CVE-2018-9549, CVE-2018-9550, CVE-2018-9551, CVE-2018-9552) impacted Android Open Source Project operating system versions ranging from 7.0 (Nougat) to 9 (Pie). It provided additional, but limited data, regarding 2 critical vulnerabilireleation attached to its use of ARM's Exynos system-on-chips (series 9810) running on 8895 chipsets.

Google Fi now officially supports most Android devices and iPhones

Google is making a major move to expand the availability of its Fi wireless service. It's been a few years ever Google launched Project Fi by the promise of doing things a bit differently than the large carriers.
