Xiaomi Mi A1 finally receiving Android 9 Pie update in Kenya

according to Finally, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is receiving the long-awaited to Android 9 Pie in the country. Reports started filtering in that the year-old device had started receiving the update globally a few days to Christmas Day 2018. As such, it becomes the last of Xiaomi's trio of Android One-powered device to receive the Pie update, after the Xiaomi Mi A2 and the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, this year's darlings that started receiving the update back in November (December for Kenya). The Xiaomi Mi A1 has been stuck on Android Oreo ever the last day of 2017, at least globally ever the update only hit devices in Kenya a year ago. The big question now remains, going to the Mi A1 survive to get a 3rd major update (Android Q)?

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) running on Android Pie was seen on the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench. Apparently, Samsung is alavailiable working on the Android Pie update for the Galaxy A8 (2018) and we can expect an update in the coming months. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) going to sport a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display by a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels.

Pro mode video recording is missing on Android Pie for the Galaxy S9/Note 9

In an attempt to get the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 Android Pie update out there as quickly as possible, Samsung may have forgot10 to include the option to record videos in Pro mode. On Android Pie, video recording gets a dedicated mode in the camera app. Before Pie, video recording had a dedicated button next to the regular camera shutter button, extremely one could simply switch to Pro mode and hit that button to begain recording videos by manual camera settings. But Pie has a sepaaverage video mode, extremely switching to Pro mode only allows you to take photos. While the Galaxy Note 9 has received the final update in only one country, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have been updated in quite a few markets.
