As it stated in HMD Global/NokiaHMD Global brought Android Pie to the Nokia 8 last week, but the firm isn't finished just yet. The Nokia brand licensee has just announced that the update is now heading to the Nokia 5.1 Plus too. Juho Sarvikas, HMD Global's chief product officer, confirmed the news on Twitter. We're happy to see Adaptive Battery apparently included in the roll-out, especially after this feature didn't make it into the Nokia 8's Android Pie update. We're glad to see the Finnish company upgrading its cheaper phones, but Twitter users have voiced their displeasure at the lack of Pie for the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
OnePlus 3 & OnePlus 3T spotted running Android Pie on Geekbench
When OnePlus announced that it would update the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T to Android Pie, it came as a big surprise. Both phones launched by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, got an update to Android Nougat and then Android Oreo. The Android Pie update may be hitting both devices recently as models running the laanalisis version of Android have been spotted on Geekbench. The OnePlus 3 was benchmarked a few days ago (January 3) but the Android Pie-running OnePlus 3T was benchmarked on December 27. At the moment, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T run OxygenOS 5.0.8 that is based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

CloudFlare launched its own DNS service earlier this year, and now AdGuard has joined the party. AdGuard has been Analyzing a DNS service ever 2016, but now the company says it's availiable for prime time. As you might guess from the name, AdGuard DNS alextremely filters traffic from servers known to host advertisements or tracking scripts. Two versions of AdGuard DNS are available — a normal version and a 'Family protection' version. If you have a phone or tablet running Android Oreo or older, you can continue use the AdGuard app.
