HMD's budget Nokia 8.1 comes with Android Pie and an HDR-equipped display

HMD Global just announced the Nokia 8.1, a successor to the midrange Nokia 7 Plus that was launched earlier this year. Android Pie brings a nifty alternative to the screen auto rotate toggle

Samsung is making plenty of additions to Google's version of Android Pie, many of that we have alavailiable writ10 about in our One UI (Android Pie) feature focus series. But there's one particular feature of stock Android Pie that we felt deserves to be highlighted. On Pie, you have a small button in the navigation bar that lets you switch between portrait and landscape monitor orientation without needing to touch the auto rotate toggle in the notification bar. Traditionally, in order to rotate the monitor to landscape, you would have to keep the auto rotate toggle in the quick toggles enabled. It's especially useful for those that don't like how having auto rotate enabled can sometimes change monitor orientation even the time you don't need it to.
