Android Auto is now available on more than 500 car models and head units

Google has been consistently updating its Android Auto compatibility lists eextremely few weeks for quite some time now. Back in October of last year, the amount of car models and head units by Android Auto crossed 400, that is no small feat. When Android Auto hit the aforementioned 400 figure 11 months ago, Apple listed CarPlay as being available on over 200 cars. Annoyingly, that number includes cars from BMW, MINI, Toyota, and Lexus - four manufacturers that refuse to add Android Auto support. We're hoping to see Android Automotive, a fully-integrated version of Android which runs on cars, take its place on new car models in the future.

Apple Music for Android Now Offers Android Auto Support, New Artist Page Layout, Ability to Search Songs By Lyrics

As it stated in Apple Music for Android has received a new update that brings Android Auto support. The updated Apple Music (version 2.6.0) alextremely brings the option to let you search for your song simply by typing its lyrics into the search bar. Among other new features, the updated Apple Music for Android brings Android Auto backing to let you access your music collection directly in your car. Also, it is similar to how Apple Music was previously offering music streaming to in-car systems backed by Apple's CarPlay. In addition to Android Auto support, the updated Apple Music has brought an upgraded search functionality that lets you search for songs even out of their lyrics.
