New Android 7.1.1 Nougat update rolling out to some Pixel and Pixel XL units
- remove spaces in front of APN types so that telephony can find APNs that can handle a particular type properlyGeneral connectivity improvementsIt's been about a week since Google released Android 7.1.1 Nougat for Nexus and Pixel devices, but for some reason some fixes couldn't make it in that update.If you own a Pixel or Pixel XL smartphone, then you are eligible for yet another small update that brings some fixes.Since this is more of a maintenance update, it won't change the Android version installed on the phones.However, not all Pixel phones will be getting the update, at least according to the information on the AOSP (Android Open Source Project).The update with build number NMF26Q is aimed at Pixel and Pixel smartphones registered on UK-based carrier O2 and is meant to fix some MMS-related issues.The very short official changelog states what exactly the update is supposed to fix: "."We wouldn't be surprised if the update will go live for Pixel and Pixel XL phones registered on another carriers' networks, as many users had reported connection issues with Band 4 LTE on certain mobile networks.Some of these issues might have been fixed with the release of the previous Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, which contained "."
