Google plans to drop the Nexus name from its upcoming branded smartphones, according to Android Central.The move would see Google draw a line under the long-running Nexus series, which first began in 2009 with the Nexus One, and continued to last year's Nexus 6P and 5X.According to the report, this year's HTC produced Google Android devices will come to market with a different brand name, which is unknown at this stage, and the new phones are expected to put the "Google" brand at the front of the phones.
