CARS.COM — Hot on the heels of a similar move by sister brand Kia, Hyundai has announced that it is expanding the availability of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to its entire 2017 model-year lineup.Owners of 2017 Hyundai vehicles with display audio or navigation can get either smartphone-integration system through a free do-it-yourself software update at MyHyundai.com or at any Hyundai dealership for a fee.Related: Which 2016 Cars Have Android Auto?

HyundaiBack in May, Hyundai announced that owners of certain vehicles could retrofit their rides with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity systems, using an entirely DIY process.It said it would expand this list as time went on, and now it's adding some more vehicles into the mix.Four models have been added to the list of DIY-upgradeable vehicles -- 2016 Sonata Hybrid, 2016 Sonata Plug-In Hybrid, 2016 Veloster and 2015-2016 Azera.
