GETTY Emergency services will connect to callers fasterGoogle has announced a new tool for Android smartphones that will automatically connect callers to emergency services, greatly speeding up the deployment of potentially life-saving dispatches.Launching today in the UK, the Emergency Location Service uses local Wi-Fi connections, GPS and mobile phone masts to pinpoint your location and send it directly to the 999 operator.The service will work both indoors and outside, and only activates when a call to the emergency services is made, meaning Google never sees or handles your location.
